Body odor is human and as a physician I can safely say, your underarms are not the only place you have odor. What is good for the goose is good for the gander and odor is a universal concern. Why all the talk about feminine odor and vaginal odor?

Women have been played into thinking that vaginas cause feminine odor. There are many products whose success is dependent on propagating this misinformation in order to keep the insecurities brewing without actually remedying the problem. Odor is odor, it’s not feminine odor. It’s human odor and it’s definitely not unique to women. Urine odor is a classic example – everyone can have urine odor.

Yes, there are instances when the vagina may be the source of odor between our legs, but far more often, I repeat, far more often it isn’t. It happens to everyone.

When bacteria consume bodily fluids like sweat, semen, menstrual flow or urine, odor happens. Breast creases, tummy folds, between our legs and underarms are baited for odor. If it can hold a pencil, chances are you have odor there.

Day-to-day odor doesn’t happen by just sitting around nearly as much as getting out and living life! So what do I mean by day-to-day odor?

Intimacy can leave some odor reminders as the day goes on. When semen comes into contact with bacteria typically found in our GI tract, a mild fishy odor may occur around the vulva and perianal region. This is normal, but not necessary! Lume stops this external odor causing reaction, so check that worry off your list.

Leaking urine – when you cough, sneeze or laugh because you carried your babies or served in the military carrying heavy equipment on your backs is common. Our bladders get weakened and pads only make the situation worse. A little leak can lead to strong urine odor as the day goes on. Lume is a rescue for all external causes of odor – not just urine odor, but ALL causes.

Sweating – while trying to fit into those jeans we love? So we put on spandex with no room to breathe (you can sprain a wrist doing this …yes I know it). We wear bras to keep the “girls” tucked in and hiked up, put on yoga pants below our tummy folds then work out, chase kids, garden and serve others in our day-to-day life. Sometimes we are a hot mess. The best part about Lume is that you can use it anywhere on your body.

Periodsenough said.

We juggle a lot of responsibilities and wake up to do it all again the next day. If I can roll out of bed, brush my teeth, wash my face and notice my hair looks half way decent… I just bought myself a bonus 20 minutes in the morning. You can bet though, after skipping a shower and working hard for the money, for our children, for myself, walking our dogs, going to yoga, or whatever filled my day, I am not allowing my husband to come near me in a “naked way” until I have showered the day or two’s grime off! Clinically proven 72-hour odor-control means you can live your best life NOW, without reservations and with confidence. Lume is the perfect “skip a shower deodorant.”

Are you hearing what I am saying?

The source of day-to-day odor is caused by a reaction between bacteria and bodily fluids like sweat, semen, menstrual flow and urine (or strong urine odor from wearing a pad! Yikes.). It is important to understand that no matter how clean you are, the moment you step out of the shower, bacteria replicate and the cycle begins. EVERY DAY. The struggle is real. No wipe or wash, vulvar numbing cream, vaginal gel, perfume powder spray or douche is going to offer you long-lasting odor protection like Lume Deodorant for Underarms and Private Parts. Clinically proven 72-hour odor control you can use anywhere on your body? Lume is a game changer for human hygiene – women and men.
