Lume Deodorant | Outrageously Effective Whole Body Deodorant

Lume’s aluminum free Invisible Spray Deodorant for women is unique (AKA better) because we had so many problems to solve in order to produce a spray that measured up to Lume’s standards.

First and foremost, we needed a safe and skin friendly Whole Body formula. But we also needed our deodorant to be outrageously effective. It took us some time and literally dozens of iterations to land a formula worthy of the Lume logo.

We solved all of the problems before we launched this gem of a Whole Body Deodorant, so even if you haven’t been a spray deo enthusiast in the past, we’re confident you will love Lume’s Invisible Spray.

Here’s a glimpse of the challenges with our must haves we had to overcome to get it just right:

Low Alcohol Content

Alcohol should not be the first ingredient in anything you plan to spray on your nethers. Our Invisible Spray is gentle because it is water based instead of alcohol based. It dries down quickly, but we recommend spraying just after drying off from a shower and before you get dressed.

Gentle on Skin

Zero out of 99 clinical trial users in our study experienced irritation while using our Invisible Spray Deodorant. Certain deodorant sprays contain alcohol as the first ingredient, which can cause a stinging or burning sensation, especially if applied to freshly shaved skin or broken skin.

‘Feel the burn’ shouldn’t be something you experience with a product for your private parts. Early formulas, following industry standards, may have caused some... unforgettable moments for our human testers. So, we went back to the drawing board, working tirelessly until we found the perfect balance of effectiveness and skin friendliness.

Highly Functional

Our Invisible Spray Deodorant is powered by Mandelic Acid, a gentle alpha hydroxy acid that penetrates the skin slowly because it is one of the largest AHAs. This makes it gentle AND effective, helping maintain a pH balance optimal for odor control.

Truly Touchless

We heard your feedback—some of you are not interested in using your hands to apply deodorant. We will die on the hill of love for our Cream Deodorant, but wanted to provide a truly touchless option for those who prefer to skip the rubbing into skin business. Just shake, point, and spray—that’s it. Easy peasy. We admit we love it too.

360° Application

Apply at any angle! Hold the can upside down to easily reach those tough spots—no need for gymnastics to spray your undercarriage while keeping the can upright.

Cloud Free

One of the main objections to deodorant sprays of the past has been the terrible choking cloud that accompanies the application. The not so delicate combination of body odor and a choking cloud of spray is a junior high school locker room memory I would like to forget.

Lume uses nitrogen as a propellant, a natural component of the air we breathe. Unlike harmful hydrofluorocarbons that damage the environment and pose health risks, nitrogen is eco-friendly, and you won’t be engulfed in a cloud when applying.
